What is CranioSacral Therapy ?

Craniosacral Therapy believes that everyone is born with an underlying infinite order of intelligence or “vital force” energy ( often referred to as” chi” in Chinese Medicine). This is the same intelligence that keeps your heart beating and runs your body. This constant undetectable intelligence is carried by the nervous system to every cell in your body supplying it with all the information it needs to function as planned, every day.

Unfortunately structural imbalances, emotional blockages and spinal misalignments can interfere with the transmission of this innate intelligence, causing imbalance and altered cell formation that in time can create many health problems and disease.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive modality that seeks to find and treat the restrictions, blockages and misalignments which allows there intelligence to go where it needs to go and to restore impeded circulation, alleviate any nerve impingement and thus allowing dysfunctional cells to heal themselves.

How does CranioSacral therapy work ?
​
Through various assessment tools, your CranioSacral Therapist can assess your body and CranioSacral system and find the “primary” restrictions or “root causes” of issues. Over time our body may compensate around particular restrictions in order to keep us functioning well. When the body can no longer compensate or the restrictions are so great that it overcomes the body’s compensatory strategies, symptoms occur.

How does it work with emotional release and Trauma ?

Sarah Combines Somosomatic emotional Release and Intuitive healing with CranioSacral Therapy.
When the body stores trauma and emotions it often does this in tissues and organs of the body. Sarah listen to the body and find the area in which the trauma is stuck, through light touch CranioSacral method the trauma and emotions can be released along side incorporate tools such as Homeopathy, therapeutic imagery and dialogue to assist in this process.

Child Therapy
​
CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle and effective treatment for a variety of issues experienced by children These may be issues such as tongue-tie, sensory and auditory processing issues, Growing pains and general development. Also great for children who do lots of sports and are going through the growing stages.
At this stage I am only able to treat children 2 years and above.
